Tempa Bavuma Misses Out on 1st Afg Vs SA ODI
Due to prevailing illness, Tempa Bavuma was unable to participate in the 1st Afg Vs SA match. Aiden Markram was named skipper for the South African team. Tempa returned in the 2nd ODI but was only able to contribute 38 runs off 47 deliveries. Tempa’s score was the highest individual score from the Proteas side as Afghanistan registered a mighty win by 177 runs.
Australia has banned Dulip Samaraweera from playing cricket for 20 years
The former Sri Lankan batsman was given this ban after he was found engaging inappropriately with a female player. Samaraweera coached women’s teams in Victoria, Australia’s southern state, including the Melbourne Stars WBBL club.
Indian Fans Disappointed At Virat’s And Rohit’s Performance
The legendary Indian players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma failed to impress the home-crowd with their batting talents in the 1st test match against Bangladesh. Virat scored a mere 6 runs in the 1st innings and 17 in the second. Whereas, Rohit Sharma only scored 5 and 6 runs in both innings respectively. The Indian crowd was not happy to see this disappointing performance and expressed on social media their expectations from their idols.
Jos Butler Hamstring Injury
The cursed hamstring injury which prevented the English skipper, Jos Butler from participating in majority of bilateral matches this year has pulled him out of the much-awaited Eng Vs Aus ODI series. Jos was expected to resume his captaincy responsibilities in the Eng Vs Aus ODI series, but right before the start, it was announced that Jos still hasn’t recovered fully and will miss out on the Eng Vs Aus series. Harry Brook will be the temporary skipper for the English team.
