Following the ODI series win, Pakistan cricket team is set to participate in a 3-match T20I series against Australia. The Pakistani team is in great form especially after accomplishing the difficult task of defeating Australia in Australia. Muhammad Rizwan’s captaincy is to be praised for this as well as the epic bowling display by the Pakistani pacers. Unfortunately, Pat Cummis is not available to lead the Aussie team in this series, hence, either Glenn Maxwell or Josh Inglish will be taking the reins of captaincy. Unfortunately, senior Australian players like Patt Cummis, Josh Hazelwood, Mitchell Starc, Travis Head, and Mitchell Marsh are not a part of this T20I series owing to the upcoming Test series against India, the Border–Gavaskar series. This test series is of utmost importance for Australia if they want to secure their spot in the finals of WTC 2025.
